As you will see as you navigate our wiki, we spend our time in reader's and writer's workshop collaborating to be be true authors and real readers. We are critical thinkers and analyze and discuss our mentor text, current events and our own and eachother's writing. As INSPIRED 21st Century Digital Natives, we use technology to the best of our ability - our class set of netbooks, our class wiki and blogs, the document camera, our interactive SMARTBoard and Google Docs. These tools help us to broaden and deepen our thinking and communication skills as we are reading, writing, speaking, collaborating and researching.
Something new this year is "virtual office hours". My hours will be from 6:00 – 7:00 on Thuesday and Thursday nights. This means I will have my computer on and be ready to conference and provide feedback, answer any questions or chat with students about any assignments over shared Google Docs.
